The Unstill Life is an interactive web-art project proposed by Dylan Gauthier, Rory Solomon and Paula Zaslavsky for the consideration of the Lower East Side Tenement Museum's 2007 Digital Artist in Residence Project.
Timeline
April 1 - 31, 2007
Design and build back-end of database and preliminary data-entry interface. Refine data collection method, purchase necessary equipment, distribute fliers calling for participants.
May 1 - June 15, 2007
Collect data. Meet with ESOL students at Borough of Manhattan Community College, PS188, the Hamilton-Madison Community Center and Shared Journeys students from the Tenement Museum. We will finish before summer break begins.
May 30, 2007
First review with the Tenement Museum's Web Producer and the DARP Advisory Board. Review database design and data collection.
June 16 - July 14, 2007
Develop interfaces for data. Collect additional data from people on the Lower East Side.
June 30, 2007
Second project review with the Museum's Web Producer and the DARP Advisory Board. Review visualization interfaces and graphics for stickers and posters.
July 15, 2007
Beta Launch. Put up stickers and posters. Third project review with the Museum's Web Producer and the DARP Advisory Board. Review beta version.
July 16 - August 30, 2007
Refine interface. Continue data collection.
September 1, 2007
